Squeezing Lemons is a Lifestyle.
Squeezing Lemons is symbolic of the choices we get to make on a daily basis. We are all here for a divine purpose. We all get one lemon (life) - and the juice is the essence of life.
Squeezing Lemons was a commitment I made to myself many years ago that I would live a life that was meant for me. I vowed to myself, The Universe, and to my fellow human beings that I would follow my truth so that others may feel called, inspired, and motivated to do the same. It serves as a reminder to make the most of our time here on Earth, squeezing our lemons until the very last drop.
It does not require us to strive for perfection or to become “flawless.” As we know that all of our encounters, no matter the end result, are a part of the human experience. Understanding that these bumps in the road are opportunities for growth which add to our bucket of mastery and ability to relate to others. In fact, we don’t even focus on the end result (although we do hold onto the vision). We meet ourselves where we’re at with grace and compassion, paying attention to what is presently taking place. We focus on the step-by-step process towards getting “there” - Wherever there means for you. We understand that life is more about the journey of unfolding and not so much about the destination.
We embrace the sticky hands, the burning sensation when our lemons squirt us in the eye, and the mess that comes with creating anything worthwhile. We know that success is defined by our own terms and only comes from taking risks - the subtle and the obvious. From doing things we’ve never done. Trying again and again and again without throwing in the towel or giving into the fear that can hold us back from becoming all that we are designed to be. Like Aaliyah said, If at first you don’t succeed, dust yourself off and try again.
This does not mean we overlook our own traumas, biases, discrimination, or the multitude of situations and circumstances that are out of our control. Rather, we focus on the things within our control and make the most of it while we still have breath in our lungs. If you are alive, you still have time. You still have so much juice left to squeeze and so much joy to experience while doing it.
So let’s get to it, my friend!
